What are the best dishes of Abruzzo ? Abruzzo .. land to be discovered at the table , because our kitchen is sea and mountain, is refined and poor, it is fine wines. What would be the ultimate culinary expression of people that for centuries  have bred sheep ? The lamb , of course : lamb with cheese and eggs, grilled lamb , roasted sheep , goat cheese , mutton sauce with maccheroni alla chitarra , made with a unique metal stringed instrument named “chitarra”.

And yet the local specialties, among the best dishes of Abruzzo that are used in the gastronomy world :  The truffle and the precious saffron from Navelli , true “red gold” whose value is matched only by the exertion of the harvest. But in Abruzzo , in addition to eating well , drinking divinely , with wines that have recently gained international recognition : to accompany the dishes of Abruzzo, how not to mention Montepuliano, the net color and strong taste , the delicate Cerasuolo or more fresh and inviting Trebbiano d’ Abruzzo (best white 2012) , accompany every dish that tradition offers . And do not forget the olive oil : fragrant and clear … In other words , valuable.
